I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Research of the University of Michigan. I hold a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California and a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Michigan. I also earned my Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Philosophy from Korea University.
My research focuses on the political economy of federal fiscal policy, particularly the role of the bureaucracy in the federal spending process. I am also very interested in machine learning and AI techniques, in addition to traditional statistical tools and analyses.
My research has been published or is forthcoming at Political Science Research and Methods, Presidential Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Information Policy.
